Join us as we release one of our early brewed styles from the garage days. This collaboration foreign stout has a taste of malt sweetness, caramel, roasted grains, notes of chocolate and licorice. Medium bodied brew has little to no hop flavor, a dry finish, and slight roasted bitterness. We then aged this stout on a special blend of Brazil,Columbian and Ethiopian coffee beans roasted by our friends of Cottage Small Coffee Roasters. This special style stout started back with the 19th century, being developed in the year 1801 by Guiness. In order to withstand the long trip from Ireland, the beer was brewed bigger with extra hops and more alcohol, which serve as natural preservatives. The beer later became known as the Foreign Extra Stout.
